Obituary

Amy Madeleine Alquaddoomi was born on 12 December 1980 in Van Nuys, California, to Leah Kushman (nee Linda Oster) and John Sanders.

She attended Robert Frost Middle School, John F Kennedy High School, and graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1998.  She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics in 2005 and was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Pure Mathematics from CSUN in 2011.

Amy married Omar Sabah Alquaddoomi on 10 April 2010 at Saints Felicitas and Perpetua Church in San Marino, California. Amy was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church on 28 July 2020 at St John the Baptist in Costa Mesa, California.

She died on 13 April 2021 at her home in Tustin, California, in the loving presence of her family.

Her funeral mass and Christian Rite of Burial were celebrated on 21 April 2021; she is buried at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California.

Amy is survived by her husband, her daughter Seraphine, her son Felix, and her sister Freidel Kushman.  She is deeply loved, missed, and her memory is forever treasured by her family: “Hope, Love, and Faith”.
