Obituary

Raquel Alicia Torres Profeta (Alice), 90, of Mission Viejo, California, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on September 29, 2026. Alice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Alice was born in New Jersey, February 7, 1936. She lived in New York until she moved to Bakersfield, California in 1960, where she raised three children with her husband, Bill. In 2012, Alice and Bill moved to Mission Viejo, California to be closer to family. Alice had several successful careers including Teacher, small business owner, and Realtor.

Family was her greatest joy in life. She shared 69 years of marriage with her first love and devoted husband, Bill Profeta. Alice is survived by her husband, Bill, her daughter, Alison Profeta Fong and her husband Randy, her daughter Tracey Profeta-Steinhilber and her husband Mark, her son Scott Profeta and his wife Eileen, and her eight adored grandchildren, Taylor, Jordyn, Madison, Audrey, Morgan, Lucy, Avery and Ethan.

Alice was well loved by everyone who met her. She was known for being kind and compassionate, and was guided by her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

While Alice battled Parkinson’s and other painful conditions, she never complained and was always concerned about the needs of others over her own. Alice will be dearly missed.

A memorial service and celebration of life for Alice Torres Profeta will be held on October 10, 2026, 10:00 AM at Saddleback Church, 1 Saddleback Parkway, Lake Forest, CA 92630 (in the Plaza Room).

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to “The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.”
