Obituary
Alice L. Mitchell Matillo
Alice was a volunteer for the Lakewood Sheriff’s Department for 33 years and a member of the Lakewood community for 47 years.
She is survived by her husband Frank; her daughter Katheryn Siroonian (Johnny); her son Ken Mitchell (Cynthia); 3 grandsons and 2 grandcats. Alice loved her friends and crocheted blankets for her friends and family for years. Alice joined our Heavenly Father on August 25, 2015 and left behind a legacy of love and friendship. We know as we grieve, that she lives on in each of us.

I want to send my condolences to you and your family in this time of sorrow. The bible says to be gone from this earth is to be present god. We know your mom is not only sitting at Jesus feet but she is asking god to send down his angels to wipe the tears away. I wish that there were enough words in our language to comfort you and your family during this time. We already loved and appreciated the baby blanket Alice made for Jay when he was born, but now we will treasure it even more. Lots of love and prayers today and always. xoxo Mark, Anna and Jay

Alice and I met over 35 years ago in a belly dancing class in Lkwd. We spent many years enjoying wine, visiting adult toy stores (had a lot of laughs there) and doing other non conventional activities. I was fortunate to have received one of her hand made blankets.
She loved her family and friends. I will miss her.
