Alice Katherine Kurin

Alice Katherine Kurin passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones, in her Mission Viejo residence on Saturday, February 08, 2014.

Alice worked at the Orange County Register and retired after many years as an editor. Alice was a devoted and dedicated wife and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was admired for her positive energy, charming personality, funny sense of humor and amazing blue eyes.

Although Alice had no children, she was a loving and caring aunt to many and considered a second mother to most. She will be missed dearly.

I’m so sorry to find out about the passing of Alice. I worked with her for many years at The Orange County Register and cherished every moment of the times that we carpooled together to work. I was lucky to hear stories about her younger life in Samoa and New Zealand and her life with Vic and all her family members that she cherished so much. Alice told me that she and her sister used to play the ukelele together and they were really great. I wish I could have heard her play. My life is more full by knowing Alice. She was the most loving and giving person. I will miss her so much.
