Obituary

Alice Gregerson Day, 93 of Laguna Woods, CA, passed away at 1:55am on Wednesday April1, 2015. Alice was born in Chicago, IL on March 24, 1922 to Walter and Agnes Gregerson. She met George while on vacation at a dude ranch in Estes Park, CO and married on August 18, 1942. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1996.

All her life Alice tried to help others. Wherever she lived Springfield, IL, Sugarloaf Key, FL, Stuart, FL and Laguna Woods, CA she found ways to volunteer and serve; Cub Scout leader, Girl Scout leader, hospital Pink Lady, Friendly Visitors, King’s Daughters, Junior League, Illini Country Club, First Presbyterian Church, Springfield, IL, Peace Presbyterian Church in Stuart, FL, Stuart Yacht & Country Club, and Geneva Presbyterian Church in CA. And whenever possible, she would schedule a bridge game. She loved life and loved to laugh.

Alice was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by a daughter Gene (Jerry) Costello, and son, Ed (Linda) Day; her grandchildren Trey Costello, Geoff (Staci) Costello and Bradley Day; two great grandchildren, Liam and Luke Costello.

A service will be held Friday April 10 at 10:00am in the chapel at Geneva Presbyterian Church, Laguna Woods, CA with a light lunch to follow at the Ayres Hotel.
