Alfred Richard Anaya, 84, was born February 15, 1925 in New York and passed away April 30, 2009 in Laguna Hills, CA. Alfred is survived by his daughter, Sylvia A. Cano and her Husband, Juan; grandsons, John Alexander Cano and Richard Joseph Cano; brothers, Richard and Daniel Anaya.

Dear Sylvia, I discovered today 07/22/10 the passing of your father Al. He was a true friend as I worked with him for many years in the mid and late 70s and early 80s. Al and I traveled many times to Spain in Europe and Algeria, Africa. He was such a kind hearted and upbeat person. My favorite comment he always made, Al! Are you hungry? “I could eat!” His favorite desert was cherry pie with ice cream. I could go on and on, but I will just hold his memory in my heart and say a prayer for him.
I assume your mother passed on earlier and remember her fondly. They loved each other without a doubt. She loved to play poker! I visited them in Mexico City on a couple of occassions in the 70s.
