Albertine Geertruida Van Duim-Vos
Born February 20, 1927 in Gorontalo, Celebes, Indonesia.
Passed away October 20, 2014 in Lake Forest, California, U.S.A.
Tine lived most of her life far away from her birthplace of Indonesia, and throughout her life received the love of her husband and family.
After her blessed life she could say, ‘I walked the path of a good, full life. I have fought the good fight, finished my course and kept the faith. Now is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the righteous Judge will give me.’
My children, always remember me and my lessons and advice, until we are together again in Heaven.

This is what was given to the priest to read at the funeral service for the beautiful Albertine.
Albertine was a married to her husband Jan for 61 years. They raised three daughters and lived in Indonesia and The Netherlands. After moving to the United States, they lived in Iowa and California. She was very involved in the Dutch-Indonesian “Indo” community and weekly attended many of their functions and dances.
She loved her family and loved to plant and admire the flowers in her garden. She was an excellent cook. Many Saturday mornings, the family awoke to the smell of something homemade and delicious baking in the oven. Tine enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She had an innate sense of style and beauty that was reflected in her home. She was a strikingly beautiful woman, and was one of the original “fashionistas”, whom her daughters always aspired to. Tine was a loving Oma to her five grandchildren, instinctually knowing their personal likes and needs. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who loved her.
