Abelardo Santiago De Jesus was born on March 5, 1931 to Simon and Maria De Jesus in Plaridel Bulacan, Philippines. He passed away on Saturday morning, July 19 just after 8 o’clock.

Abelardo is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elvira; his children, Ronaldo and Arlene; his son-in-law, Tal; his grand children, Jonas, Nicholas, Rachel and Lauren; and his siblings, Pedro, Domingo, and Brigida.

After 2 years of college in the Philippines, he enlisted in the US Navy. He served honorably and later retired due to disability while serving. Abelardo made his home Mission Viejo CA for the last 18 years, and before that, the San Francisco Bay Area for 30 years.

Abelardo touched the lives of many people with his smile, his kindness, and generosity. His interests included traveling, camping, fishing, and car and home maintenance. He especially enjoyed visiting with the grandkids. He will be greatly missed.
