Mary Capelli passed away peacefully on Aug 11, 2017. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shortly after WW2 she met and married Celio (Jay) Capelli. They soon moved to California where they spent 62 years of marriage together before Jay passed away in 2009. They raised 3 children – Barry, Sheila, and Vincent, who all succeed her. She is also succeeded by 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Mary was devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. For many years she visited the home bound as an Eucharistic minister and she was once given the Woman of the Year award by the Council of Catholic Women. She loved pets, especially collie dogs, along with rabbits, hamsters, birds, and for a short while a desert tortoise. She will be greatly missed.
